Do they keep up with continuing education?
Do they belong to any associations?
Check the cleanliness of their business location and determine if they use heat sterilization on all equipment.

Tell the technician what exactly you want done and listen to their ideas.
Did they listen to what you wanted?
Being able to communicate with the technician is absolutely essential.
Ask for referrals.

Q How much does it cost?

A Prices range from $100 - $1,000 depending on the procedure. DO NOT choose a technician based on price alone. Base your decision on your research of their work and on their competence.

Q Is a topical anesthetic used?

A It is not uncommon for a technician to use a topical anesthetic to ease discomfort. Many clients fall asleep during the procedure.
