INFECTION
Texas state law requires strict adherence to stringent sterilization procedures. As with any invasive procedure, such as tattooing or permanent cosmetics, there is a risk of infection. You will receive careful instructions for the proper care of your procedure to maximize healing and the retention of the new pigment.

DISCOMFORT
Tattooing or permanent cosmetics is NOT a "pain free" procedure. You should carefully consider your decision to have any permanent procedure. No two people interpret discomfort the same, but there is a definite discomfort associated with the application of a permanent cosmetic procedure ranging from very mild to significant.

PIGMENT TESTING
The pigments used in my studio have been widely tested and found to be safe and effective. However, a "scratch" test may be performed to help determine whether you are allergic to the pigments that will be used for their procedure. Contact the technician to schedule your test.

GENERAL ADVICE
Since delicate skin or sensitive skin areas may swell and redden as a result of the permanent cosmetic procedure, it is not advisable to make social plans the same day.

Wear your normal makeup to your session. If you are having eyeliner, lip liner, eyebrows or full lips done, please bring your favorite pencils and lipsticks.

Tweezing or waxing of unwanted hair in the area to be treated should be done at least 24 hours prior to a session (electrolysis no less than 5 days prior). Hair removal from the treated area should be avoided for one week after the procedure.

TEXAS STATE LAW
Texas state law prohibits the application of tattoos/permanent cosmetics:

  • On anyone under the age of 18.
  • On anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • On broken skin, i.e. rashes, boils or abrasions.

REMEMBER:

TATTOOS AND PREMANENT MAKEUP ARE PERMANENT MARKINGS INTO THE SKIN.
